We’re excited to share that the Greenway bridge along Route 64 has officially been replaced by the dedicated crew at the Middlebury Department of Public Works.

The previous structure was lost in the powerful storm that swept through the region last August, leaving behind significant damage and disrupting a beloved local walking route. Now, thanks to months of planning and hard work, a new wooden bridge stands in its place—sturdy, inviting, and ready for daily walkers, runners, and cyclists once again.

This scenic crossing not only reconnects a vital stretch of the Greenway but also reflects our town’s commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty that makes Middlebury so special.
